Help celebrate our 2nd Annual Coloring Contest with Artist Heidi Lester during a kid-friendly art session, LIVE on at 11 am March 11th!
During this 15 – 20 minute virtual art class, Heidi will be teaching kids how to paint sunflowers! This is a great activity for classes and kids at home.
Like and comment on the live event for the chance to win some fun prizes for your child! #LetsColor2021
Suggested materials to follow along:
– acrylic paint – various colors (great for kids!)
– plastic palette knive(s) – (usually come in a packet of 3 and cheap at Michael’s or Walmart)
– cloth canvas (no bigger than 8×10)
– Paint smock
– Paper plate (to squeeze paint onto)
– Paper towels (to wipe off paint, so a BUNCH!)
Heidi Lester is a self-taught oil and knife artist currently chilling in Glendive MT. Using mainly oil-based paint, she uses the ‘shape of the color’ to guide her as she creates. Teaching children to express themselves, especially through art, is an experience all children should have. Imagination can be more important than talent!
