Montana Children’s Trust Fund’s Strengthening Families Award

Montana Children’s Trust Fund’s Strengthening Families Award recipient Kami Ryles

Montana Children’s Trust Fund (MT CTF) recognizes individuals and entities that go above and beyond their duties to effectively strengthen Montana’s families and keep children safe from abuse and neglect. Kami Ryles, CCC’s Assistant Director and Family Services Coordinator, is the 2021 recipient of the Strengthening Families Month Award!

CCC was able to obtain funding through the CARES ACT funding, with this funding, the family services team was able to purchase 475 $300 Walmart gift cards.  Each family received one gift card along with PPE and Hopa Mountain Books. Through the CARES ACT, CCC received funding to provide special circumstance grants to families within the 6 counties we serve.  Kami lead this funding and processed over 1000 applications, approving over 850 $4000 grants for families from August through December 2020 in CCC’s service area.  This grant provided such things as in home care and educational support to families struggling with distance learning through this COVID pandemic.

Thank you, Kami, for all the work you do to support Montana Families! Kami will receive the award on April 27 during the Montana Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect Conference.
