Wednesday January 12th through April 20th 5:30-8:30pm, via zoom and CCT
This is a requirement for STAR 3. The primary goal of the Montana Preschool Care Giver Course is to provide instruction and active learning experiences for teachers of three-five-year-old in both centers and home-based early childhood settings. The skills for working with young children are presented in 13 easily readable fact-filled chapters. Throughout the course one will conduct self-assessment checklists, observations on children, review of the NAEYC Code of Ethics, and other assignments as given by the instructor. This course is worth 60 approved training hours and 4 college credits. Active participation in this course will enhance preschool teacher’s knowledge, skills, dispositions, and attitudes as well as build competency in fundamental early childhood practice. This course will be a hybrid course and will consist of in-person (Zoom) and online learning.
We have implemented an application process to gather some information about prospective participants. We hope this will help with the rate of “drop out” in these courses.
This application process will close on January 3rd, 2022.
