Transparency in Coverage is a rule by the Internal Revenue Service, the Employee Benefits Security Administration, and the Health and Human Services Department. The rule intends to put healthcare price information in the hands of consumers and other stakeholders to empower them with critical information needed to make informed healthcare decisions. The requirements in this rule will give consumers the tools needed to access pricing information through their health plans.
