Intentionally Safe and Secure: Supporting Children who have Experienced Trauma– Child Care Resources (2 hrs.)

Monday, Novemebr 6^th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm via Zoom, $14.00

This course will provide an overview of intentional teaching and allow time for reflection around teachers’ own existing beliefs and practices with young children. We will discuss childhood trauma and what teachers experience with children who have endured trauma. Finally, we will discuss basic strategies for creating supportive and safe programs for children, using a checklist of specific trauma-sensitive practices for review.
