Focusing on Preschooler’s Physical Development & Health– HRDC-7 (2 hours)

Preschoolers are active learners and use their entire body to learn. Research confirms that young children do not learn fundamental physical skills simply through play. Adults need to plan movement experiences and structure physical activities that introduce a range of movement options. In this session, we will learn more about the physical development of preschoolers and discuss ways of promoting this development within the classroom environments and curriculum.
