Best Beginning Scholarship Changes June 2021

Recent Updates and Expanded Eligibility for Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarships

New updates include:

  • $10 per month co-pay per scholarship family*
    • All Best Beginnings Families will see their co-pays set to $10 per month
  • Scholarships Cover the full authorized amounts regardless of attendance*
    • To support families and various scheduling needs that may arise, the Best Beginning Scholarship will cover the full amount of scheduled care regardless of attendance
  • Updated sliding fee scale now expands eligibility to more Montana families*
    • Income Eligibility has been increased to serve additional families.  For example, a family of 4 making $4,085 or less per month may be eligible for child care assistance.

Child Care Connections strongly encourages families who have been denied the scholarship in the past due to income to reapply at this time. Please contact us to learn if you or someone you know may qualify.

*Policies go into effect June 1, 2021 and are based on the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) federal funding.
