Winter weather is a part of life in Montana. Dressing children for the cold and planning
outdoor activities can be daunting. Then once you’re finally outside it feels like the kids are cold and
miserable! This course will help providers to understand the physical and medical benefits that can
come from outdoor winter play, how to dress appropriately for safe and happy winter play and how to
plan activities that keep children engaged and active in outdoor winter play.
